Not just an art gallery: - Fine Art, Creative Workshops and Special Events

If you're looking for a place that has one of the best, uninterrupted views across the Tyne Valley, ample adjacent parking, in beautiful surroundings, 1 mile north off the A69, 14 miles from Newcastle, then fifiefofum is the place for you.

fifiefofum exhibits paintings, ceramics, glass, sculpture, woodcraft, jewellery, prints, giclées and more as well as showcasing a diverse programme of exhibitions. The gallery runs a wide portfolio of workshops and courses ranging from proggy rag rug making to digital photography and raku ceramics and hosts corporate and private meetings and special events. In addition they operate a giclée printing service for small quantity, limited edition runs.

Sue set up the fi-fie-fo-fum gallery with her husband Roy Sturgeon in 2003, and Sue's daughter Lucy is the gallery manager who, when time permits, makes jewellery for sale in the Gallery. The 3 of them have gradually built up the business with an emphasis on sustainability and diversification of rural life. They are expanding the remit of the gallery by offering creative therapy for the ultimate day out.

Roy is a photographer concentrating on light, colour, form and texture, involving ordinary subjects that go unnoticed in everyday life. All of the digital images are 'as found' and are not contrived in any way. Sue is a painter and there is a great synergy between their endeavors.

Fifiefofum markets and promotes artists within the gallery and through other channels. While mainly specialising in northern artists, the gallery occasionally exhibits work from artists further afield through their exhibition programme (see Exhibitions July-August). Artists may submit work for exhibition at fifiefofum - see the fifiefofum website for details.

In addition to the gallery fifiefofum is continually expanding their portfolio of creative workshops so artists interested in tutoring should include details.

There is plenty to see and do in Northumberland. Walks are plentiful, fifiefofum is only 3 miles from the main Hadrian's Wall walk, and the buzz of Newcastle city life is only 15 miles away.

Facilities are provided for exhibitions, meetings, receptions, creative workshops, outdoor and countryside pursuits and other special events, all available in one of the Tyne Valley's most inspiring situations.

Venue hire and workshops include exclusive access to the surrounding parkland and lakes.

Speciality coffees, teas and delicious home made fare are available at the gallery.
