Courses and events at The Hearth at Horsley.
Regular weekly events include:  Singing Babies - Mondays at 9.30 and 11am.
Squeaky Feet – music and fun for toddlers Wednesdays
Arty Afternoons - Thursdays 1.30pm Art, craft and stories for preschool children

Watercolour classes with David Holliday are held throughout the year.

Roger Clegg offers the opportunity to have a holiday photographing Hadrian’s Wall and the surrounding area under his guidance. He is pleased to be able to pass on his techniques and experiences to others.

Horsley Printmakers run printmaking workshops by arrangement and studio access to to any previous course participants who want to improve the skills they have learnt in a workshop by working independently but with the experienced back-up of Rebecca or Carol to assist, guide and advise if necessary.(see Services)

Inspired by gardens courses and workshops are held at the The Byre Studio, a converted stone farm building near to Hexham, the workplace of Northumberland artist Catherine Stott. Skills for garden painting - including drawing skills, tuition in watercolour, pastel and mixed media and choosing and composing subjects are among the area covered.


The Garden Station offers a range of fabulous day courses from bread making to willow sculpture.

Workshops & Bonsai Study at Willowbog
